1 Liter. 12" tall. Imperial German Eagle Stein. This hand-painted, rustical relief stein features a pewter Imperial German Eagle in richly-detailed style, with a black background, on the center front.
The Imperial German Eagle originates from an emblem believed to have been used by Charlemagne, the first Frankish ruler crowned Holy Roman Emperor by the Pope in 800 A.D., and was derived from the Eagle Standard of the Roman army. The side panels display, in bone rustical relief, many architectural and landscape highlights of the country including: Frankfurt, Cologne, Berlin, Lorelei on the Rhine, Munich, Rothenburg, Heidelberg, Nuremberg, the Black Forest, and the Neuschwanstein Castle. The upper rim band states Germany's motto "Einigkeit Und Recht Und Freiheit" (Unity and Justice and Freedom). The domed pewter lid is adorned with decorative relief banding.
Hand-crafted in Germany by Zoeller & Born.
Perfect unique gift for historians, collectors, beer drinkers, or decorative art lovers.
