A gold crown is displayed above the panel and a Deutschland banner beneath. The side panels feature the architectural highlights of selected major cities including: Munich, Berlin, Rothenburg, Frankfurt, Cologne, Heidelberg, Nuremberg, and the Neuschwanstein Castle. The domed pewter lid is adorned with intricately detailed relief banding.
